Consultation Services

• Provide consultation and technical assistance to private special education programs seeking CT State Department of Education approval or re-approval
• Provide consultation and technical assistance to parents and any state, public or private agency regarding the development of special education programs, IEPs, 504 plans and/or other specialized educational programs
• Consult with parents, private special education programs, school districts and state agencies regarding the development of education programs for students with social-emotional and/or behavioral concerns
• Advise parents, physicians, advocacy groups, school districts and state agencies regarding the development of special education programs, IEPs or 504 plans for students with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)
• Provide guidance and technical assistance to state agencies, school districts and private providers regarding the education of children and youth in foster care, group homes, detention centers, residential treatment settings, in juvenile justice and correctional institutions and in other out-of-home placements
• Evaluate state, public and private special education programs for compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
